A Christmas greeting with a bottle of champagne has brought joy to Githa Nelander, who in the course of the year became a new member of the board of the Femern Belt Development Foundation.

The greeting was from Femern Belt Development, and prompted Githa Nelander – who is a regional council member for Nye Borgerlige – to thank Stig Rømer Winther, who is the managing director of Femern Belt Development, on Facebook:

“Just got home from a long day at work, to find this wonderful Christmas greeting from the director of Femern Belt Development – Stig Rømer Winther, at my door. I was thrilled when I got the position on the board of Fehmarn Belt Development, and it is also one of my most exciting political positions. The Fehmarn project gives us unimaginable opportunities, and we must make sure we seize them. Thanks to Stig Rømer Winther.”

It was in May that the board was replaced. Guldborgsund Municipality’s former mayor, John Brædder from Guldborgsundlisten, stepped down and was replaced by the new mayor, Simon Hansen from Socialdemokratiet. Additionally, regional council member Gitte Simoni – formerly from Dansk Folkeparti, now independent – stepped down and was replaced by Githa Nelander.
