Construction company Skanlux has received four immediate improvement notices following an inspection at the company’s holiday home construction site on Elmestien in Idestrup.
At two construction sites, the Danish Working Environment Authority found inadequate scaffolding, and at one of them the authority stopped work involving the heavy lifting of windows and doors. This is stated in documents obtained by FemernBusiness under a freedom of information request.
All four notices issued following the visit on 22 September have now been complied with, according to the Danish Working Environment Authority.
The Danish Working Environment Authority found inadequate scaffolding at both construction sites. At Elmestien 3, the authority assessed that employees risk falling 2.5 metres or that the scaffolding could topple over with them on it. According to the decision, this entails a significant risk of serious personal injury or death.
At Elmestien 1, the authority also stopped the manual lifting of heavy windows and doors without lifting equipment and identified wood cutting without extraction. Skanlux subsequently reported that corrections had been made, and the Danish Working Environment Authority states that all four notices have been complied with.
FemernBusiness presented the information to Skanlux, which has not responded to the enquiry.
