Blue Water has signed a contract with Femern Link Contractors (FLC) for the operation of the working ports established in connection with the tunnel construction. The task consists, among other things, of prioritizing ship calls, allocating berths, reporting to authorities and ensuring that ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security Code, ed.) legislation is complied with.

– We are proud that FCL has entrusted us with this important contract. Our primary task will be to ensure a high standard in the day-to-day operation of the ports with experienced staff, optimize safety and take care of the agency for the ships that call at the ports, says Troels Nyerup, Harbour Manager at Blue Water, in a press release.

– With Blue Water’s many years of experience within port agency and project logistics, we are sure that we can handle this task with high quality-awareness and a dedicated, experienced team. We are very happy to be able to contribute our skills to a historic project like this. We thank FCL for the challenge and look forward to the collaboration, says Klaus Odby Jensen, General Manager, Port Agency, Blue Water in the press release.

Blue Water already has a service contract with Fehmarn Belt Contractors (FLC) to handle clearance of ships, crew change and husbandry services, documentation and reporting to authorities. On this occasion, Blue Water opened a local office in Rødby in 2021, which is now being expanded due to the new contract.

Blue Water Shipping is an international shipping company with headquarters in Esbjerg. the company was established in 1972 and today has 1,400 employees spread over 70 locations worldwide.
