“Cleaning on the Fehmarn Belt in Rødby – Cleaning staff wanted,” says the temporary agency Jobteam’s posting on Facebook. Jobteam is the most recent of the many temp and recruitment agencies that work to find employees for the Fehmarn project.
New on the market
Jobteam is completely new to the market – the company was established in August last year. They specialize in providing unskilled labor for, among other things, production and storage – and therefore also cleaning:
– Being unskilled today is something completely different than a few years ago. They have some pretty wild skills and it’s all about upgrading them. This can, for example, be with a truck course that can be taken in a week, says owner Klaus Jørgensen.
FB-Suppliers has pushed
Jobteam has joined the supplier network Fehmarn Belt Suppliers, and it has been an unusually good investment:
– Henriette (Henriette Fjord Klement, contract manager at FB-Suppliers, ed.) has pushed us hard to make us understand that we have to lift as a group. There are eight temp agencies associated with FB-Suppliers, and we must work together to get the job done. We are kicking down doors, and we have the threads out, says Klaus Jørgensen.
Vacuumed for labor
And the task is big. The Fehmarn project has largely vacuumed Lolland-Falster and southern Zealand for qualified, skilled and unskilled labour. And that is even before the work has really started:
– For example, I have seen that 300 electricians are needed. And where are they going to get all those people?, asks the Jobteam owner rhetorically.
Open office
One of the possibilities is to show up at FB-Supplier’s “Open office” on Wednesdays. At least Jobteam has benefited from that:
– The Fehmarn project is one of the really big ones, and the amount of network you can get through FB-Suppliers is 100 percent worth it, says Klaus Jørgensen.
