Møns Bank strengthens business services

New initiative aims to enhance advisory services for businesses and agriculture.

Møns Bank wants more business customers
Published

Møns Bank is now significantly focusing on business customers with the launch of Your Business Bank. A new initiative aimed at strengthening advice for businesses and agriculture. The bank has hired and will hire more new employees in the business area and is working purposefully to expand its presence outside the local area.

The bank sees a huge potential in business and agricultural customers. And even though it is based in Stege on Møn, it can easily look beyond the local area to attract more customers.

Business Director Kenneth Hansen

- If you look at Region Zealand, there are 53,000 businesses and one of the best areas for agriculture in the country. There is growth in the number of businesses and in the population, and we need to take advantage of that, says Kenneth Hansen, business director at Møns Bank.

By 2027, the plan is for business to play a much larger role in the bank. And six new hires will help shape what has been dubbed Your Business Bank.

- We have seen a need for more specialized advice for businesses. And we sense that there is a large service deficit. Businesses simply want more than they are getting, says Kenneth Hansen.

About Møns Bank

The bank is headquartered in Stege, but has branches in Næstved, Præstø, Vordingborg, and Rønnede. It was founded in 1877.

Area in growth

The focus on business customers, according to Kenneth Hansen, is only natural. With a region that is already growing and a Fehmarn connection nearby, it's just a matter of getting started.

- We need to show that we have something to offer, and we also believe that we do. It would be foolish not to look into the growth opportunities that are right in front of us.

He points out that businesses are increasingly demanding more than just financial solutions - they want strategic sparring and insight into areas such as sustainability and growth plans.

- Therefore, we will call ourselves business and agriculture partners, as it precisely signals that we are more partners than advisors for the customers. It is indeed in a partnership collaboration that we create growth for the customers, adds Kenneth Hansen.

The bank officially launches Your Business Bank on January 31 with an event where companies can learn more about the new initiatives.
