The planned virtual meeting between the German transport minister Patrick Schnieder and his Danish colleague Thomas Danielsen (V) will not be held on 10 October after all. According to Lübecker Nachrichten, the political dialogue on the Fehmarn Belt tunnel and the associated railway projects has been postponed to the end of the month.

On the agenda are, among other things, the new schedule for the tunnel connecting Lolland and Fehmarn, as well as delays on both the Danish and German sides. The project is already at least 1.5 years behind, and the German part of the railway connection is expected to be ready at the earliest by the end of 2032.
