Lessors, suppliers and large users of construction material have been given their own mouthpiece under the auspices of Dansk Industri. The new industry association is called Dansk Materielforening and is organizationally placed under the industry association DI Byggeri.

Requires different solutions
All links in a construction company’s value chain face major challenges that require different solutions. This is the background for the establishment of the new industry association, writes DI Byggeri on its website.

The new association brings together landlords, suppliers and large users of material in construction. Managing director of the rental giant GSV, Dan Vorsholt, is among the initiators of the association. He has also become the association’s first chairman. The Danish Materielforening became a reality at a founding general meeting at the end of April.

Fossil- and emission-free construction sites
– One of construction’s biggest challenges in the green transition is to make construction sites fossil- and emission-free. In addition to digitalisation, the key to successfully achieving the goal of the green transition is the cooperation between the building industry’s players. That is why we have chosen to place the Danish Material Association in DI Byggeri, says Dan Vorsholt.

Including the entire value chain
DI Byggeri, is pleased that important equipment companies together see the advantage of DI Byggeri being the framework for the new association. Especially in light of the fact that large parts of the value chain with which the material companies collaborate are existing members of DI Byggeri, writes the association.

In work clothes
The board of the Danish Materielforening has already gotten into work clothes. Next up is to strengthen the association’s membership base, ensure prioritization of and active participation in the political work of DI Byggeri and develop new, attractive offers for the association’s members.
