When looking at the largest companies on the Danish side of the Fehmarn Belt, two companies in particular stand out. They distinguish themselves significantly from the crowd because they are both deeply rooted in large construction projects and primarily base their revenue on public funds. These are companies that help shape the region's future and ensure growth through massive investments in infrastructure.

The Fehmarn connection leaves its clear mark on the business community in the area. The project is not only one of the largest construction tasks in the region but also an important driving force for the local players contributing to the construction. However, the list of the largest companies also reveals another strength in the region: agriculture and some strong brands that have firmly established themselves in the market. These companies represent a combination of local anchoring and international reach.

The companies that create growth and jobs in the area are diverse - from construction projects and agriculture to well-known manufacturing companies. All figures are from the companies' 2023 financial statements.
