From June 14 to 16, 2025, Fehmarnbelt Days will be held in Lübeck. The event consists of a citizen and democracy festival as well as a conference for decision-makers. The festival combines debates, music, and cultural contributions to strengthen relations between Denmark and Germany.

On Monday, June 16, the conference opens with a keynote speech and networking opportunities for participants. The program is divided into four themes: mobility and infrastructure, business and labor market, culture and tourism, as well as urban planning and settlement. The conference will bring together both public and private actors from Denmark and Germany and create dialogue about cooperation and development opportunities across borders.

Region Zealand is part of the partnership behind the event and supports the participation of Danish actors financially. Around 50,000 participants are expected over the three days, with themes ranging from integration and cooperation to infrastructure and business development.

Fehmarnbelt Days 2025

  • Location: Lübeck, Germany
  • Expected participants: Approximately 50,000
  • Organizers: Schleswig-Holstein, the Hanseatic City of Lübeck, Lübeck's Chamber of Industry and Commerce, and partners such as Region Zealand and Femern A/S

Region Zealand has allocated up to 150,000 kroner to support Danish participants. The region does not expect to bid for hosting the Fehmarnbelt Days in 2027, when Swedish participants are expected to take over.

In 2023, the Fehmarnbelt Days were held in Rødbyhavn.
