Rådgivervirksomheden COWI samler ind blandt selskabets 6.900 ansatte.
Several colleagues have asked
Thousands of people have died, and tens of thousands more were injured by the devastating earthquakes that shook Turkey and Syria on Monday. The suffering and injuries are terrible, and several colleagues have asked how COWI can contribute to the relief work. Therefore, we have decided to start a collection for the Red Cross similar to the one we did for Ukraine last year. COWI will match the money collected by the employees no later than 22 February 2023. In addition, the COWI Foundation has decided to donate 67,000 euros to Doctors Without Borders, COWI writes on LinkedIn.
Employees from 70 countries
According to press manager Søren Kragh Pedersen, COWI in Denmark alone has employees from 70 countries, including Turkey and Syria. It is, therefore, natural that the disaster has affected many employees. Cowi is the developer Femern A/S’s main advisor on the Femern project. The Danish Red Cross’ collection for the earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria can be supported here.
