When there is a general assembly in the FB Suppliers association on Thursday March 30th., the board proposes that the association’s articles of association be changed so that FB Suppliers can in the future take an interest in major infrastructure projects throughout Denmark.

Major infrastructure projects in Denmark
In the purpose specification, it is referred to in several places that the Association’s purpose is to work in relation to other larger projects etc. “in and around Region Zealand”. The board proposes that this geographical limitation of the association’s activities be deleted, so that the association can realize the association’s purpose without any kind of geographical restrictions. The association will primarily work to, among other things, make the member companies visible and market them in relation to major infrastructure projects in Denmark. In relation to the Fehmarn project, it is relevant for the Association to market the competences and capacities of member companies on the German side, writes the board in its remarks to the agenda item on the changes to the articles of association.

About 130 companies
FB Suppliers is a network association for sub-suppliers for the Fehmarn project. The association is based in Rødbyhavn and at the time of writing has just over 130 members. FB Suppliers was founded in 2015.

Meet the new kids in the class
At the FB Suppliers general meeting, there will be speeches and presentations from among FLC’s purchasing managers and the “new in the class” – Femern System Contractors and Elecnor, who will be responsible for technical installations in the tunnel and the new transformer station to be built in Rødbyhavn respectively.

Former Prime Minister, Poul Nyrup Rasmussen, also visits the general meeting with a presentation on apprentices and students in the construction industry in general and on the Fehmarn project in particular.

Sustainability in Femern A/S
The state developer company behind the Femern connection, Femern A/S, will also be at the general meeting with a presentation on their work with sustainability in the project.
