Arcadia eFuels' ENDOR project at Vordingborg Harbour has been selected for support from the EU Innovation Fund. The commitment applies to a partial amount of the total project sum and will only be disbursed when the project achieves full financing.
The selection is part of a larger EU pool, where the European Commission will distribute 2.9 billion euros to 61 projects aimed at accelerating the development of so-called net-zero technologies. According to the Commission, the projects are spread across 18 countries and 19 industrial sectors and are expected to collectively reduce 221 million tonnes of CO2 equivalents over the first ten years. The support is financed through the Innovation Fund with revenues from the EU's emissions trading system (EU ETS).
For Arcadia eFuels, it specifically concerns a planned Power-to-Liquid plant that will produce 80,000 tonnes of sustainable aviation fuel (eSAF) per year in Vordingborg, as well as the by-product eNaphtha for, among other things, road transport or the chemical industry.
