Starting December 1, 2024, two key companies under the Sund & Bælt umbrella will have a new managing director. Janne Dyrlev, who assumes the role of CFO on the same date, will also take over the leadership of both A/S Femern Landanlæg and A/S Øresund. She succeeds Steen Bruce Corfitsen and Natascha Krogager Carlsson, who are respectively stepping down and concluding her term as acting director.
An experienced leader in a new field
Janne Dyrlev brings solid experience in finance and leadership. Her background includes positions at MobilePay, Danske Bank, Danica, and most recently as CFO at the pension company Forca A/S. Her transition to Sund & Bælt marks a new chapter in her career, where infrastructure and major construction projects such as the Fehmarn Belt Tunnel and the Øresund Bridge will be her primary focus.
– I look forward to contributing to Sund & Bælt’s work in creating sustainable connections that tie Denmark to the rest of the world. I approach this task with great humility and dedication, Dyrlev said in a press release announcing her appointment.
As managing director of A/S Femern Landanlæg, Dyrlev will oversee the Danish side of the Fehmarn Belt project, including the rail connection to the tunnel and adjustments to land-based infrastructure. At A/S Øresund, she will lead the strategic development of the Øresund Bridge, focusing on its economic sustainability and integration into the regional transport system.
Leadership across companies
In her dual role as director for both A/S Femern Landanlæg and A/S Øresund, Dyrlev will need to navigate the differing demands and challenges of these projects. While the Øresund Bridge is an established lifeline between Denmark and Sweden, the Fehmarn Belt project is still under construction and requires continuous adaptation to political, economic, and technological developments.
– Her extensive experience in finance will be crucial for continuing to streamline operations and manage risks across the organization, including the Fehmarn Belt Tunnel, Denmark’s largest infrastructure project, said Sund & Bælt’s CEO, Mikkel Hemmingsen.
A busy start
Dyrlev steps into her roles at a time when both companies are at critical junctures. For Femern Landanlæg, the focus is on ensuring the rail connection is ready for the scheduled opening of the Fehmarn Belt Tunnel in 2029. At the same time, the Øresund Bridge must continue to be optimized as a vital transport artery in the Nordic region.
