Ortofon is one of the names from Lolland-Falster that is familiar to hi-fi enthusiasts far beyond the region. From its base in Nakskov, the company has spent decades producing cartridges for turntables and has built a strong position in a narrow international niche where sound quality, precision and craftsmanship are crucial.
The board of Ortofon A/S has now been reshuffled. A new filing with the Danish Business Authority shows that Kim Stengaard Holmsted has been appointed deputy chair, while Louise Kamp Nørbæk has joined the board as a new member.
The changes were registered on 22 June. The filing also shows that Bernd Petersen has stepped down from the board, while Kurt Flemming Holmsted has stepped down as deputy chair. He will, however, continue as an ordinary board member.
Following the changes, the board consists of chair Christian Dalum, deputy chair Kim Stengaard Holmsted, Kurt Flemming Holmsted, Louise Kamp Nørbæk, Monika Henryka Mistarz and Jane Pedersen. The two latter members are employee-elected representatives.
Ortofon traces its roots back to 1918. In the Danish Central Business Register, the company is listed as a manufacturer of electronic components, and in April it had 127 employees.
