Who should receive the Lolland-Falster Business Award in 2026?

That question is now open, as the process of finding candidates for the award has begun. Anyone can nominate a company based on Lolland-Falster, with nominations submitted through the award’s website.

The award will be presented this autumn for the 43rd time. It is organised by Business Lolland-Falster in partnership with Nordea, Revisionsselskabet Aage Maagensen and Folketidende Gruppen. FemernBusiness is the media partner, and readers can follow the process here in the run-up to the award ceremony.

The Lolland-Falster Business Award is given to a company that, according to the criteria, makes a particular contribution to Lolland-Falster. To be considered, the company must be growing and deliver solid financial results. It must also contribute to sustainable development, with an emphasis on innovation, investment in climate-friendly technologies and solutions, and sustainable products and services.

“Lolland-Falster has many companies that contribute every day to growth, jobs and local development. With the business award, we highlight companies that both create solid results and take responsibility for the area they are part of. We therefore hope many people will nominate a company that deserves this recognition,” says Mikkel Wesselhoff, chief executive of Business Lolland-Falster.

The award was established by Nordea in 1983 and has since been developed together with the current partners behind the business award.

“The business award is about recognising companies that have created documented results and at the same time point the way for the future of business on Lolland-Falster. We see many strong companies in the region that have managed to develop at a high professional and commercial level. We want to bring them into the spotlight,” says Ingolf Stenstrup Larsen, regional director at Nordea.

Last year, the Lolland-Falster Business Award went to Vestas in Nakskov. Previous winners are listed on the award’s website.
