Ann Louise Brix has taken up office as head of responsible purchasing in the Municipality of Copenhagen as of August 1. As a result, the job as head of strategic sustainability in Femern A/S has become vacant.
– It has been fun and challenging to be part of an organization full of ambitious and highly qualified employees, where no challenge is too great and no problem is insoluble. It requires all good efforts and a large amount of determination to succeed on the largest construction project in Denmark’s history. I am full of admiration for all my good colleagues, who work hard every day to ensure that the tunnel is ready, writes Ann Louise Brix on LinkedIn.
Ann Louise Brix joined Femern A/S in 2021. Initially as sustainability manager, but after a year she was promoted to head of strategic sustainability in the developer company. At that time, she was already fully experienced in mega construction projects, as she had worked for the previous almost six years as chief CSR consultant for Metroselskabet & Hovedstadens light rail.
– I could have worked for many more years on this exciting project, but sometimes an opportunity arises that is too good to say no to. (…) Copenhagen Municipality is Denmark’s largest public purchaser, and with that market position comes a responsibility to influence the market in a sustainable direction, to the benefit of citizens, suppliers and not least the sustainable transition. I am humbled and proud to be allowed to be part of influencing the municipality I love so much in a sustainable direction, writes Ann Louise Brix.
