There are still long gaps between the immersions of the tunnel elements for the Fehmarn Belt link.
The third element was put in place on 2 August. More than five weeks later, number four is still in the construction harbour at Rødbyhavn, where it is secured to the immersion vessel IVY.

During the test, the fourth element was loaded with an additional 1,600 tonnes using water bags on the roof and tanks inside the element. The test has now been successfully completed, the water bags have been removed, and preparations for the fourth immersion can continue.
Sund & Bælt has not said when it will take place.
- The test has been a full dress rehearsal for a technically very complex operation. We now know that IVY can handle the additional load and can therefore immerse the special element safely and precisely on the seabed, says Lasse Vester, Deputy Contract Director at Sund & Bælt.
Once the fourth element is in place, almost 900 metres of the 18-kilometre tunnel will have been assembled. It will then be followed by the first of the tunnel’s ten special elements.
The immersions began on 7 May. So far, three of the 89 elements have been installed. Sund & Bælt will not draw up a new overall timetable until five standard elements and one special element have been immersed.
