Recent graduates account for a significantly smaller share of unemployment benefit recipients in Lolland, Falster and Vordingborg than they do across Denmark as a whole.
In July 2026, graduates made up 13.4 per cent of full-time unemployment benefit recipients in Guldborgsund, 13.3 per cent in Lolland and 11.9 per cent in Vordingborg. Nationwide, the figure was 25.9 per cent, according to data from jobindsats.dk.
The figures do not show how many recent graduates are unemployed. They only show the proportion of all unemployment benefit recipients in each municipality who are recent graduates.
Looking specifically at Din Faglige A-kasse, an unemployment insurance fund whose members include skilled workers in the electrical and plumbing sectors, the local picture is more mixed.
Here, graduates account for 7.5 per cent of the unemployed in Lolland, compared with 10.1 per cent nationwide. In Guldborgsund, however, the figure is 19.2 per cent. No figure has been provided for Vordingborg.
TEKNIQ also points out that demand for skilled workers remains generally high.
