Local boatyard sails from loss to profit

Bredgaard Boats in Rødbyhavn ended the 2025/26 financial year with a profit of DKK 670,145. That marks a significant turnaround from the previous accounting period, when the boatyard recorded a loss of DKK 230,518.

The two periods are not directly comparable, however. The latest accounts cover 12 months, while the previous period only ran from 5 November 2024 to the end of June 2025. Even so, the figures show that the yard returned to profit in its first full financial year.

Gross profit came to just over DKK 4.5 million, while operating profit reached DKK 811,758. At the same time, the average number of employees increased from six to eight.

Bredgaard Boats operates a boatyard and builds custom-designed fibreglass vessels. Its production includes fishing vessels, passenger boats and offshore vessels for customers in Denmark and abroad.

The profit for the year lifted equity from negative DKK 190,518 to positive DKK 479,627, according to the annual report. The boatyard is managed by Michael Ørsted Jakobsen and Jørgen Wiuff.
