After the election, he emphasized the need for better framework conditions for businesses and warned against bureaucratic burdens and high energy prices.

- Companies are struggling with increasing paperwork that hinders innovation and growth. At the same time, we have some of the world's highest energy prices, which makes it difficult to retain and attract companies, he said.

IHK's general assembly also confirmed seven vice presidents in their positions. After the election, the members met with IHK's management to discuss the organization's future efforts. According to director Lars Schöning, IHK will continue to work for better conditions for businesses and strengthened political dialogue.

- We must be a modern business organization that listens to the needs of companies and provides relevant advice and service, said IHK’s director Lars Schöning.
