A generational change has left a clear mark on the latest accounts at Daugbjerg in Nakskov.
The company, which sells office supplies and stationery and traces its roots back to 1955, ended the 2025/26 financial year with a profit of DKK 217,000. The year before, net profit stood at DKK 374,000.
At the same time, equity has fallen significantly. At the beginning of the financial year, Daugbjerg, which employs seven people, had equity of DKK 3.58 million. One year later, this had fallen to DKK 946,000.
A large part of the change is linked to the generational transition carried out during the year. As part of the process, the company – using a model commonly applied in generational changes – bought back half of its own shares for just over DKK 1.6 million and subsequently cancelled them.
In addition, an extraordinary dividend of DKK 1.05 million was paid during the year, along with DKK 400,000 in dividends that had previously been approved.
Daugbjerg is now owned by Jesper Madsen and Kasper Kühlmann. Jesper Madsen took over as Managing Director in June 2025, while Kasper Kühlmann is Chairman of the Board.
The underlying business remains profitable, but earnings have declined. Gross profit fell from DKK 3.09 million to DKK 2.73 million, while operating profit decreased from DKK 536,000 to DKK 324,000.
