Lollands Bank delivered a profit of 113.7 million DKK before tax in 2025 compared to 131.3 million DKK the previous year. After tax, the profit landed at 89.8 million DKK, while the core earnings increased to 94.0 million DKK.

The bank also proposes to pay out 30 million DKK in dividends to shareholders.

According to banking expert Lars Krull from Aalborg University Business School, this is a solid result from a well-managed bank.

- When a bank's financial statement shows a profit of more than one percent of the balance sheet total, you have done really well, says Lars Krull.

Lollands Bank has a balance sheet total of just under 6 billion DKK, and thus, according to the expert, the bank is on the strong side.

Many new customers

The financial statement shows that lending grew during the year to 2,294 million DKK, while deposits increased to 4,391 million DKK. The bank also gained 1,459 new customers and had 31,609 customers by the end of the year.

At the same time, the bank stands financially solid with a capital ratio of 32.7 percent, which provides a significant surplus compared to the authorities' requirements.

Even though the financial statement is strong, Lars Krull points out that smaller banks generally face some particular challenges.

- There are especially two challenges for a smaller bank. Firstly, regulation in the banking sector is extensive, and it can be burdensome for small banks, he says.

In addition, there is a structural risk in being a local bank.

- Secondly, there is a concentration risk in a local bank. The customers often resemble each other, and if certain sectors face headwinds, it can hit the bank harder.

Doing really well

Nevertheless, he assesses that the prospects for Lollands Bank's market area look relatively good.

- Conversely, it is also an area with significant development and many investments related to the fixed link to Germany, so it does not worry me, says Lars Krull.

He also highlights that Lollands Bank has delivered stable results over a long period.

- Lollands Bank has generally done really well for many years.
