Earlier this week, carpentry and construction company Pribo Huset reported an annual profit of DKK 5.1 million.
According to master carpenter and co-owner Kenneth Henriksen, the strong year was due in no small part to the acquisitions Pribo Huset has made. In 2020, the company acquired KB Fritidshuse, while E&J Rasmussen Malerfirma and Entreprenør Bent Sindahl joined the business in 2024.
And he expects more acquisitions to follow.
- Definitely. We are constantly looking, and I already have a couple of ideas about where we should look next, he says.
The acquisitions have brought more trades under the Pribo umbrella, and according to Kenneth Henriksen, further growth may be necessary.
- I am not interested in growing simply for the sake of growth. But the industry has become much more complicated, and new administrative requirements keep being introduced. If you are to handle them and remain strong in the market at the same time, I believe a company needs to have a certain size, he says.
Pribo currently employs around 40 people. Kenneth Henriksen will not put a final figure on the company’s ambitions, but points to the carpentry division as the most obvious area for growth.
- If we win a major project, 10 or 12 people can be tied up on it for a year and a half. That makes us vulnerable and means we have to turn down other work. The ambition is to become strong enough to have two or three major projects running at the same time, he says.
