“… a call from us is for those of you who have not yet entered services and descriptions, get it done. Because it makes a difference,” says Lars Stuckert, chairman of the FB Suppliers association, a network for subcontractors to the Fehmarn project, in the association’s Facebook group.
Looking for partners The background is that the Spanish consortium Acciona Cobra, which is prequalified for the TTC contract (Tunnel, Track and Catenary) to supply rails, traction power, and signaling systems for the railway part of the Fehmarn tunnel, is looking for Danish partners.
– They need to make a bid, and for that, they need to know what various companies can supply and what it costs, Lars Stuckert explains.
Someone will get the contract They haven’t been awarded the contract yet. Isn’t there a risk that it could be a waste of time?
– No. If one bidder does not get the contract, another one will. And they will also need subcontractors. I’m sure that our members will find that there are more who will ask, he says.

In general, it is foolish not to update one’s data as a member of FB Suppliers. It is, after all, one of the main points of membership, the chairman explains:
– At our general assembly, we had visitors from Acciona Cobra, and they told us that the FB Suppliers website makes a difference. They had never before seen such a simple platform for reading, learning, and contacting many relevant subcontractors, Lars Stuckert reports.
Obvious to Look Here The fact that many of FB Suppliers are already subcontractors to the major tunnel consortia makes it obvious for new contractors to look there first:
– They are already familiar with the conditions down there. So they have everything under control regarding wages, safety, and such, which makes everything easier. Yet there are still some who do not fill out or update their data, and that’s a pity. Because it actually pays off, says Lars Stuckert.
