Zenvo Automotive in Præstø presents a significant boost in the annual accounts for 2024. After years of modest results and negative equity, the report now shows a profit of 63.7 million DKK. The result before tax lands at 68.5 million DKK, and equity turns from minus 13.5 million DKK to plus 50.1 million DKK. At the same time, the cash balance has grown to 80.7 million DKK at the end of the year compared to 4.2 million DKK the year before.

The development coincides with the launch of the Aurora models Agil and Tur, which were showcased in California in August 2023. The gross profit has almost quintupled to 99.6 million DKK, while customer prepayments reach 100.4 million DKK compared to 37.3 million DKK the year before. The figures suggest a significant order intake even before the cars have rolled out of production - and testify that the dream of a Danish-built supercar for ultra-wealthy customers in the niche market can be converted into hard cash.

Since 2019, Jens Sverdrup has been at the forefront of the strategy - first as an advisor, then as chairman of the board and commercial director.

Administrative error

A month ago, Zenvo was briefly in the media spotlight when the company unexpectedly received a request for compulsory dissolution from the Danish Business Authority because the accounts had not been submitted on time. This created unrest among employees and suppliers. However, Jens Sverdrup quickly dismissed the notion that Zenvo was heading towards bankruptcy and explained that it was an administrative error. He also emphasised that the annual report would show a profit.

The report has now been submitted and audited without reservations. The auditor concludes that it provides a true and fair view of the company's financial position.

Zenvo Automotive was founded in 2007 by Jesper Jensen and Troels Vollertsen and has been owned by Czech investors in Prague since 2018. With 27 employees and a growing order book, the company today stands as Denmark's only manufacturer of supercars. The 2024 accounts show that the investment in Aurora is not just a matter of car enthusiasts' dreams - but also of solid earnings.
