Companies that would like to have a location close to the Fehmarn construction site will soon have the opportunity to establish themselves on Finlandsvej in Rødbyhavn.
In continuation of the existing business area, a new business area of 50,000 square meters has been laid out, which is being prepared.
Follows schedule
Right now, the status is that Museum Lolland-Falster has finished investigating the areas where Lolland Forsyning will sewer, and the museum is now working on the areas that will become commercial plots, says Rikke Jensen, director of the engineering and environmental area in Lolland Municipality.
According to Museum Lolland-Falster, the archaeological investigations follow the schedule.
– We expect to finish the investigations on Finlandvej in mid-June, says Bjørnar Måge, museum inspector at Museum Lolland-Falster.
Four months of sewerage
Lolland Forsyning expects the sewerage work to start in July, and that it will take approximately four months to carry out the work.
Lolland Municipality will subsequently be responsible for establishing the entrances to the individual commercial plots, while Business Lolland-Falster will be responsible for the sale of the commercial area.
Land in excess
The land formerly belonged to Femern A/S, which handed it over to Lolland Municipality, as the developer did not need the area in connection with the Femern construction.
The business area is intended for companies with services related to the tunnel construction, such as retail or artisan companies, transport and logistics companies and industrial companies with export purposes due to the proximity to the Fehmarnbelt tunnel.
