The construction company MSE Entreprise A/S is getting a new strategic platform following a change of ownership, with the Belgium-based Infra Group taking over the company. The daily management remains unchanged with Jan Sørensen as managing director, and according to MSE, the agreement is intended to ensure both a generational change and access to larger and more complex infrastructure projects.

2025 has also brought headwinds. MSE reports that earlier in the year, the company faced challenges on several large projects for Better Energy, which later went into reconstruction. This resulted in a loss, which according to MSE, has been absorbed into the overall economy and covered by a strong operating result.

In the latest financial year, revenue landed at 561.9 million DKK, while the year's result after tax was 19.1 million DKK. MSE describes the result as in line with expectations when the loss on the Better Energy projects is taken into account.

Strengthened management

At the same time, MSE has strengthened its management. David Lollike Olsen joined the management in the summer of 2025 alongside Jan Sørensen, where he took responsibility for parts of the operations and for a long-term future-proofing of MSE.

Infra Group is a Belgium-based infrastructure group with activities in several European countries, focusing on the construction, upgrading, and maintenance of utility and communication networks, including electricity, telecom/fibre, water, and gas. For MSE, the partnership means access to a larger international setup, more competencies, and stronger references for larger projects, while the company can continue to be locally anchored with unchanged management.

MSE is not the first Danish company that Infra Group has acquired. The group entered the Danish market with the acquisition of LM Gruppen in Køge in October 2024, and MSE thus becomes another link in a strategy where Infra Group grows through acquisitions of local specialists in supply and communication infrastructure. The point is that they are building a Danish platform with several branches rather than a single purchase, and that the acquisitions should provide both the Danish companies and the group with a larger scale, more competencies, and stronger references for larger projects.

Remain local

A key point for MSE’s ownership group has been that Infra Group will maintain the company's identity, management, and geographical location. MSE highlights that the agreement will also ensure the continuation of a local workplace on Lolland-Falster.

- The past year has shown that MSE stands on a strong foundation. With Infra Group as the owner, we gain access to an international setup and strong references, which give us entirely new opportunities to participate in larger and more complex infrastructure projects, while retaining our DNA, culture, and local roots, says Jan Sørensen.
