At the beginning of the year, the project developer Peper & Soehne ApS took over 50,000 square meters of commercial space in Maribo Erhvervspark at exit 48 for the establishment of Hub 48 Maribo.

The aim is to create a business hub with modern rental options, and the commercial broker Robert C. Spies Nordics ApS, which is a Danish subsidiary of the German broker of the same name, has been given the task of being responsible for the letting.

High interest but no contracts
– The interest is actually relatively high. It has not come to a actual contract yet. But we are working on a few good leads, which I believe can definitely lead to a lease on the buildings being built in Hub48, says Søren Meiling, director at Robert C. Spies Nordics ApS.

Mostly local inquiries
Initially, in Hub 48 Maribo, tradesmen’s spaces will be built with a total rental area of approximately 3,800 square meters and flexibly usable business units with a total area of approximately 4,900 square meters.

– The first phase is mainly aimed at local craftsmen and traders, and so far most inquiries have also come from local companies. But we have also experienced interest from slightly larger international players on the larger areas with a view to establishing storage and logistics, says Søren Meiling.

Phase two with larger areas
In the second construction phase, space will be created for companies that need larger production or logistics areas. Several light industrial areas with a total leasable area of 6,700 square meters and a logistics hall with a total leasable area of almost 8,000 square meters will be built. It is expected that the second construction phase will begin in 2024.

With Peper & Soehne ApS’ acquisition of the 50,000 square meter business area, all 110,000 square meters in the first phase of the Maribo Business Park have been allocated.

The Municipality of Lolland can thus begin the preparation of phase two, which includes a 157,000 square meter area just behind the already subdivided business area.
