Erhvervshus Sjælland, the Fehmarn Belt Development fund, Copenhagen Capacity, the EU’s regional fund, and the Business Promotion Agency have, together with a number of municipalities and educational institutions, implemented the Fehmarn Change Zealand program this year.
Fertile ground for growth
The purpose of the program has been to create fertile ground for growth derived from the Fehmarn connection and to develop business along the Fehmarn corridor.
For 400 euros, the companies could get a tailored course with, among other things, a growth plan, sparring with business developers, professional workshops, and access to various networks. Through the project, it was also possible to cover half of the expenses of up to 4000 euros for the purchase of private advice.
90 companies were involved
According to the preliminary report from the project, over 90 companies have accepted the offer. Here they have gained knowledge about Fehmarn construction and the supplier landscape for the various contracts. Specifically, they have received guidance in the procurement procedure at the large consortia, FLC, FBC, and FTC. Part of the program has also been a lawyer’s review of the special legal conditions in the contracts with the consortia. The companies could also get practical help to register in the consortia’s supplier databases.
Expectations fulfilled
It was the goal from the start that 85 companies should join the program, so the expectations for Fehmarn Change Zealand have been more than fulfilled.
In total, 30 workshops have been held under the auspices of the program, and consulting services have been purchased for just over 100.000 euros.
You still have time
The Fehmarn Change Zealand program ends at the end of the year. According to Erhvervshus Sjælland’s website, it is still possible to register. Next year, Erhvervshus Sjælland will continue with some concrete initiatives under the auspices of the Fehmarn Lighthouse project.
