On October 8th, the Lolland-Falster Business Award 2024 will be presented at Nykøbing F. Theater. The judging committee has now chosen the four companies vying for this prestigious title.
The four nominees for the 2024 award are:
– The filter manufacturer S.E.W North Filtration A/S from Nakskov.
– The ferry company Scandlines, operating the Rødby-Puttgarden and Gedser-Rostock routes.
– Melitek A/S from Nørre Alslev, which produces plastic granules for the healthcare sector.
– The electrical contractor Enelco Aps from Nykøbing Falster.
Difficult choice
– Lolland-Falster is growing, and this year’s nominees for the Lolland-Falster Business Award clearly reflect that. These are four companies that, within their respective industries, have demonstrated significant growth and strength over an extended period. We have many successful and skilled companies on Lolland-Falster, so we were in the fortunate position of having difficulty choosing the four nominees, says Mikkel Wesselhoff, CEO of Business Lolland-Falster.
In 2023, it was Rask El-Service ApS that received the Lolland-Falster Business Award, which is given to a company making a difference for Lolland-Falster.
Must deliver results
To be nominated, a company must be growing and achieving solid financial results. Additionally, the company must contribute to sustainable development with a focus on innovation, investment in climate-friendly technologies and solutions, and delivering sustainable products and services.
– Lolland-Falster has a strong and development-oriented business community. Regardless of the company’s size, a common trait among Lolland-Falster’s businesses is their strong management and performance. The four nominated companies have created many new jobs, are locally involved, and are pioneers in their work with sustainability, says Nordea’s regional director, Ingolf Stenstrup Larsen.
