As part of the group’s employee share programme, Aarsleff has just given the employees shares worth almost DKK 39 million – corresponding to 130,000 Aarsleff shares. The company writes this in an update on the LinkedIn social media.

Turnover of DKK 18.1 billion
Aarsleff is the only Danish member of the FLC consortium responsible for the construction of the Fehmarn Tunnel. When Aarsleff published its annual accounts in December 2022, it showed a turnover of over DKK 18.1 billion and an earnings (EBIT) of over DKK 820 million.

Since 2018, it has been possible every year for the group’s Danish employees to participate in Aarsleff’s employee share programme. The program has been introduced to retain employees at a time when there is a shortage of qualified and skilled labour.

Will reward loyal employees
We want to increase the proportion of employees who are shareholders, link the employees closer to us and, not least, reward those who contribute to the group’s great development and continue to wear one of the group’s logos on the safety helmet when the shares are released after three years, writes Aarsleff on LinkedIn .

In 2020, Aarsleff put 130,000 shares on sale to employees at a price of 190. At that time, the shares were placed in custody, and they are now being released. At the same time, Aarsleff doubles up 1:1 on the employee shares, which have meanwhile increased in value to a price of 300.

DKK 15,000 became 47,000
This means that an Aarsleff employee, who in 2020 invested 15,000 in her “own” company, today owns Aarsleff shares worth DKK 47,000. And it must be said to have been quite a good investment.

The employees own four percent
The program with employee shares has proved extremely popular in the Jutland based construction group. So far this year alone, 1,550 employees have invested in the company. This means that the employees today collectively own four percent of the group.
