At DI Lolland-Falster’s 2026 Business Summit, the focus will be on how the Fehmarn Belt link can create lasting growth across Lolland-Falster.
Under the headline “Fehmarn: Continued growth, or simply transit once the tunnel opens?”, the summit on 18 June will bring together companies, investors, municipalities and decision-makers for an afternoon dedicated to the opportunities and challenges that come with the upcoming fixed link to Germany.
The key question is how Lolland-Falster can ensure that the Fehmarn link becomes more than a transit corridor between Scandinavia and the rest of Europe, and instead contributes to new jobs, investment, settlement and local business development.
Speakers include journalist and moderator Tine Gøtzsche, Danish-German business profile Mirco Reimer-Elster, DI chief economist Allan Sørensen, Lolland Municipality’s municipal director Thomas Knudsen, and representatives from companies and investment projects already committed to the area.
The summit will also explore how Lolland-Falster can attract new businesses, secure access to labour and turn the Fehmarn link into tangible local development, even after the construction phase has been completed.
