A large demand for advice on management and sustainable construction has meant great growth at the engineering and consulting company Rambøll, which will emerge from 2022 with the largest growth in 14 years. This appears from the company’s annual report for 2022.

Turnover of DKK 16 billion
Revenue grew from DKK 14.2 billion to DKK 16 billion, which generated a profit of DKK 624 million.

– The growth is driven by a high demand for sustainable solutions and the efforts of our fantastic employees, says Rambøll’s CEO, Jens-Peter Saul, in connection with the accounts.

Sustainable solutions and green energy
– Across our geographies, we see great demand for sustainable solutions from our customers, who are motivated by creating CO2 reductions in their value chains and meeting global climate targets.

– We especially see a great demand for solutions within green energy, including offshore wind and power-to-x solutions, water, climate adaptation, sustainable construction as well as for the development of strategies for sustainable transition.

Rambøll’s growth is based both on success in new markets and in the more traditional ones.

Great growth in Germany and England
In both Germany and Great Britain, which are two of Rambøll’s smaller markets, revenue has increased by over 20 percent. In Germany, Rambøll is, among other things, responsible for the consultancy in connection with the upgrade of the railway network in Northern Germany and the construction of the Femernsund tunnel.

At home in Denmark and at the branch for both American continents, turnover has crossed DKK 3.5 billion. In Denmark, Rambøll is client advisor for Femern A/S.

On the list of Rambøll’s list of major projects for 2022, the job as general consultant on the first plastic sorting plant to be built in Esbjerg appears, among other things.

Expect strong growth
Due to the fear of a slowdown in the economy, many companies have throttled down their expectations for 2023.

At Rambøll, however, there is no trace of concern. The company expects “strong growth,” and earnings that will be even higher this year.
