Crisis in Germany affects filter company

The company in Nakskov expects improved results in 2025 despite challenges in the German market.

Hengst Air Filtration Denmark A/S ended 2024 with a profit of 5.1 million DKK, which is a decline from 7.6 million DKK the year before. The management points especially to a decrease in demand in the German market as an explanation for the lower result.

The gross profit remained almost unchanged at 51.3 million DKK, but the operating result fell to 6.8 million DKK from 10.2 million DKK in 2023. According to the company's management report, the weaker earnings are primarily due to lower revenue, which was partially offset by savings.

Expecting a better 2025

Despite the challenges, Hengst Air Filtration has invested in a new competence center in Nakskov, which will support the company's business area in process air filtration. Further investments in both personnel and equipment are expected in 2025.

The company is optimistic about the coming year and expects an improvement in the result by 2 million DKK in 2025. The expectations are partly based on a strengthening of the sales organization.

Hengst Air Filtration Denmark A/S, which has 77 employees, is part of the German group Hengst SE and produces filters for the industry.
