The screw foundation company BAYO.S ended 2024 with a deficit of 2.4 million kroner. It is the second consecutive year with a significant loss in the accounts.
The turnover in the Danish company - BAYO.S Screw Foundations ApS - fell from 29 to 22 million kroner. At the same time, the gross profit decreased by over three million, and the annual result was again negative. This is evident from the recently published annual report.
The company is located north of Nykøbing and supplies screw foundations as an alternative to concrete in construction. According to the management, the deficit is partly due to lower activity in the first half of the year and rising expenses for consultancy and documentation.
Peter Juul was appointed director of BAYO.S Screw Foundations ApS in May 2025 and will be responsible for the Nordic business. Niels Thorup Madsen remains director and chairman of the board in both the Danish company and the international parent company.
Focusing on development
In 2024, BAYO.S Screw Foundations activated development costs of just over one million kroner. According to the accounts, this relates to the development of the company's own products, which the management believes will be able to generate revenue in the future.
Equity has been reduced to just over one million kroner. The management describes the result as unsatisfactory but expects an improved result in the coming years. The number of employees increased from 16 to 22 during 2024.
Million Loss in the Parent Company
The international parent company, BAYO.S International ApS, ended the year with a loss of nearly five million kroner and a negative equity of 7.7 million. The total debt has increased to 36 million kroner.
A large part of the loss originates from the subsidiary in the Czech Republic, BAYO.S Production, where the auditor has reservations about the recorded values in the balance sheet. This raises doubts about whether the subsidiary's assets are valued correctly.
As a result, the group leadership has established a new structure with a division into two regions - the Nordics and Central Europe - to focus sales efforts and increase collaboration with advisors and contractors across markets.
